Amphora-shaped Christmas ornament.

The amphora (Greek: ἀμφορεύς; ‘carry on both sides’) is a two-handled vase commonly used to store liquid or dry goods. Panathenaic amphorae, filled with olive oil and decorated with depictions of the goddess Athena, were given as prizes at the Panathenaic Games in Athens.

Laser-cut gold or silver mirrored acrylic. Engraved lotus bud festoon detail inspired by the motifs found on ancient Greek pottery.

Limited edition of 22 pieces.

Handmade in Scotland as part of Plato’s Fire’s Christmas vase collection, inspired by ancient Greek vases.
